Random thought about Oni/Ogre

ok so oni are some sort of terrible brute creature that raze the land, pillage, ate people and such. at the same time, theyre also staff in hell who do pretty much the same thing but its a divine/noble job due to the context. now ive been wondering like how enma employ oni to be their lackey, do they have qualification exam and programs, how can they jump in between plane of existence from earth to hell, does the oni in hell are actually a separate and isolated race/tribe or smth

They probably travel by magic, an elevator from hell to earth or by train.
But in actuallity, Oni describes a pretty big array of creatures from simple ghosts to wrathful demons. So the havoc wreaking earth-oni probably have close to no relation to the enforcing underworld-oni except for the name

In greek hell there's one big boss, who appoints others. No exams. Like have you been a good menace today? xD
