Sure but that's almost normal for a manga. A secret society of peeping toms that live in the attic and even has traffic rules is another level.

Some of you guys need to read Kobo Abe's novels and short stories. The level of surrealism in those perfectly matches Kago's work.

Some of you guys need to read Kobo Abe's novels and short stories. The level of surrealism in those perfectly matches Kago's work.
My first exposure to him was The Box Man when I was in my early 20s. I still vividly remember the bizarre photos, supposedly taken by Abe himself, included in certain print editions of the book.
