Thanks for the TL. I'm really hooked on how this entry in the manga adaptation series is committed to telling Shoko's full story, beyond what we've seen in any other medium.

Gotta love how Shouko is the ONLY character in this series that can physically make Mai break her usually cool and mature personality and act EXTREMELY possessive over Sakuta. She is literally her Achilles heel.

It was bad enough for her trying to compete with a memory, worse seeing a version of that memory come to life (and trying to compete with Mai herself, if only on an instinctive level)...but seeing this version pop up looking for all the world ready to come back and take him away from her for good? Aw, hell, naw. At least she doesn't live long enough to find out what Shouko ended up doing later in this second timeline.

It's not even a contest cuz Mai ultimately wins for Sakuta's heart. Even Shouko knows this, all she can do is fuck around with them and take the piss outta Mai. As Mai said, she loves Sakuta WAY more than he does and we know how head over heels he is for her.
