But seems like only Japanese version of this Wikipedia page does mention about poison gas, and even then, online discussion does not agree with usage of the term, nor agree that the Allied approved of using poison gas
Imo, given what the US army did do in the Vietnam war (search for My Lai massacre), I think it's grey zone at best.

Imo, given what the US army did do in the Vietnam war (search for My Lai massacre), I think it's grey zone at best.
I'm not disputing the targetting of civilians or their large casualties during the battle.
It was the usage of poison gas and flamethrowers directed at them that I found questionable. Good to know it's as a disputed opinion as I expected.
