That's an interesting analysis - considering the ending of the previous chapter, with Marina leaving the message to future sick Rinnosuke, asking him to come for her in the past. Man that would mess up young Rinnosuke.
Although ... Japanese storytelling ... some mangaka would make it an opportunity for the ML to "grow", and "be happy" for his older version and Marina.
Bleh. Really hope that isn't the plan!

Heh. So old version Rinnosuke might come back, unable to go forward again with Marina.
Then they have a child. Future R dies from whatever, leaving young present R with "his" child, and a Marina who's shown she doesn't love him, having been NTRed by his older self. Disgusting.
I've read too many mangaka with twisted minds. Hope this one gets a wholesome ending.
