On one hand, yeah it sucks to not have cool fight scene.

On the other hand, there's a different series I've seen with probably like 10 chapters of doing ONE boss fight and I'm wishing it'd be over soon.

As a writer, I can say that back-to-back battles can be exceptionally hard to write. I'm preparing for one right now, and the logistics are a bit of a pain.

So I don't feel like this is the most apt assertion.
The little things that they're doing here will likely become relevant later.
Though, I do feel we could get more fun going on here, but I'm not exactly sure how I'd write it. Since this story tends to go day-by-day, skipping time isn't something they've done. I get that they're also trying to show, not tell. They want you to see what's being done without going through each individual action, so they're kinda showing and telling at the same time.
Still, I agree it's kinda dragging on. I hope they'll defeat the mountain sooner rather than later.
