The part with the hair growth reminded me of Everyone Else is a Returnee when Yu Ilhan gained the fire hair. It got suuuper long, and when someone commented on it the hair immediately shrank back to the way it had always been.

He won with his 'brids', though The 'lowest' level fireball spell, lol. I can still remember them screaming "That's not a brid!". With his barrier and brids, he was more like a moving artillery platform, lol.

the rainbow dragon whined that he only had enough raw power to manifest a single grain of sand for a few seconds, compared to the mc's entire suit of armor he can keep up for hours

Ever seen the movie Spawn? "Its where old people go after Florida". He never manages to evolve and ends up dying of age. The only reason 90% of Rou's goblins are evolving is because of him. All of his followers get massive growth and growth correction. Gobuji does get remembered and honored, though. He was very important to Rou in many ways, especially his knowledge.
