Did you not read the first chapter? It's a harem of five girls, reverse-isekai'd from a fantasy dating sim - all of whom have maxed affection points. And Machino was unable to pick one of them and actually finish the game because she couldn't decide which of them she actually likes most. The harem, and the conflict that will arise from it, is the whole point.

This isn't an unexpected love triangle. It's literally the manga delivering on the premise it established from the beginning of its publication. Frankly I wish it had done so a chapter or two sooner, but I'm looking forward to seeing where it goes.
