Okay I've just caught up to this chapter...

Something that really bugs me this is that the vibe I got from the story is kinda dark yet it feels kinda light. Like almost all the situation is pretty bad if it happens irl, yet this story just kinda made them kinda light.

there's another thing that bugs me. The romance itself isn't pretty bad for me, but the harem part is. Until 80-ish chapter there's only Kotoko that can be called romance partner for Seiichi. Only after that, that Yuuka can also be called that. I think even the new girl will have a pretty good chance with Seiichi if you compare it with Ibu.

Well, you're not wrong in your analysis. I'm just thinking that the other girls come to appreciate the MC because of various events regarding the main heroine, hence why they slowly fall in love with him. =/

I just literally read the volume 13 synopsis (last LN volume) and ohhhh boi this is a fucking train wreck. Not to mention it did a 180° and went super dark with the drama similar to how Shuffle! changes tone in the last few episodes.

i read the synopsis as well. It's not that bad. I mean this manga already has dark moments, like rape, since the first chapter. It's nothing new.
