He was already kind of an asshole when he provoked her into the challenge in the first place, and this is just making him worst because he's acting like other characters treated him, an idiot who's gonna throw their life away because they're doing something something stupid

The blond guy at least was cool because after getting decked he tried to calm his party, and when MC turned up his first thought was "dude, leave us behind and run", MC is just sending her to her grave and is gonna end up saving her when it's his fault
