[REC] Romance with Childhood-friend but more casual type than bashful

Not Childhood also fine, basically looking for the pair who instead of just have bashful, awkwardness with each other all the time, but just can act casual with each other and hang out or even like pal. They are a lot of fun and honestly feel more natural.

A lot of this type of romance is on the josei/adult side. (because, well, they're adults)
But let's keep it to childhood friends only...

Many of Adachi Mitsuru's works like H2 or Touch have aspects of childhood friends/romance, although only slightly.
(was going to put Cross Game, but I remembered that Aoba is a tsun)

The pair in Honnou Switch are childhood friends, but again, it is the adult romance type.
The same with Cuprum Hanayome, though it is not that adult (safe for works), but it is after the childhood/teenage romance type, kind of like wotakoi.
There is also Otonanajimi which is very similar to Honnou Switch, but I don't like it as much.

If you're interested in wild/weird dynamic of childhood friend, try Marmalade Boy Little.
The prequel is a bashful type, this one is less so (also the prequel is not childhood friend iirc)

Ookiku Nattara is fine, (not bad, not great either, Fujiyama is obviously better)
see.. without that bashful trope, straight childhood/teenage romances are usually pretty short without some drama

Either something preventing them from dating (which usually where the bashful trope happen), or keeping the dating secret (like Fujiyama and 14-sai koi), or other things (either harem like kanojo kanojo or that twin sister tropes recently)

Some straight childhood friend romance stories still have a bit of that awkward/shy tropes, but I think they're still good
The best is Misoshiru de Kanpai,
there's also Osananajimi Ni Koishitara which is still new, but I liked it so far
I liked Nana to Kaoru, albeit for a slightly different reason,
There's also that one with childhood friend who is an actor, but i forgot the title (not the one with Love Comedy)

you can though, it called slice of life. i also not strictly say 100% no to drama, bashful moment, but not all the time. And childhood friend also have the excuse of "they being with each other too long, they don't notice" and keep their feeling at bay while let them treat each other more casual. even in my list on #1 they do have blush moment and what not.
tbh, maybe i drop these bashful childhoodfriend for so long, right now i don't even remember what is the "bashful" childhood friend is like anymore, so i it is hard to compare, really can't or even picture how they behave normally. but i feel like they are a lot more bashful than my list

I don't know how ecchi you are willing to go, but for series with more reasonable levels of romance awkwardness, I'd suggest something like

And I don't know if you're into an "enemies into lovers"-type dynamic, but I'd always recommend Arakure Ojousama wa Monmon Shiteiru to anyone wanting a good romance story.
