I have a bit problem with one of Apollo's technique.
The katakana used was 'Phoibus Raia'. However, the proper hepburn transliteration of lyre/lyra is either rira/raira.

Yeah... I'm not vibing over the "Military caricature" Leonidas fighting with a fantasy weapon.

Y'all remember Lu-Bu? Walked in with his halberd and it was awesome.
Adam? Primordial being, primordial "I'll just bash you in" style? Awesome.
Kojiro? Katana? Awesome. When the katana broke and he just went "fuckit I'm dual wielding" even more awesome.
Jack the ripper? Whole point was him being tricky and was awesome.

And then it started getting more exotic and weird.
Tameemon? He's just that buff and now he has magical control over his supernatural beef. Alright?
Buddha? Straight up straddled to humanity side bringing over his own magical arsenal... Yeah, that was ok.
Qin Shi Huang? Pretty much a magical armor to accomodate his mystical martial arts style. Eh....
Tesla was straight up in a super suit.... But it was kind of the point that he was going "beyond what mankind currently is" thing...
And leonidas with a magical, fantasy yo-yo that he never used or would make sense for him....


Now that I typed it out, I think I got it.

What made this shit great was the "Man VS God" factor. And we had people, being awesome and pushing the boundaries and going beyond the human limit. But those first there? Polearm, knuckleduster, swords, throwing random shit that could overcome a god's protection.

And we haven't really had that same vibe with the last fights... The "humans" have been the ones who crossed the threshold. Y'know, there's a difference between Lu-Bu being so strong a swing of his could split the clouds in the sky for miles, Raiden "I literally cannot control my tits" Tameemon.

And yes, yes, Adam had his divine eyes. But it still was all about the brawl, and the sheer strain of it was what took him down. So he still FELT very human, especially with how emotional his whole character was.

And speaking about Adam? Leonidas can be as bitchy as he wants at Apollo over "so I can't defend my nation just because of a god's say so?" does not hold SHIT over Adam "OH? So we kicking my wife out over some alleged apples? DONT MIND IF I WALK IN HERE EATING AN ORCHARD AND TELLING YOU TO EAT SHIT".

We have the "I have pure seething rage at the gods" filled here, and Leonidas' sure fills like the "we have it at home" version..... Especially when he has a yo-yo and his character ticks is literally blowing hot smoke....

yeah i agree, on the other hand the result of the last fight was so obvious from the first chapt that i didn't even bother reading. so maybe the author might want to mess with the audience's expectations again? not that it wouldnt also be trite, just slightly better than where this seems to be going.

IMO Tesla was a good character but Beelzebub pretty much suck anything good from the arc, they aren't a great fit. Tesla was all about humanity advancing and Beelzebub... why was he here again? Oh yeah being an Emo and wanting to die but not really? Beelzebub has basiclaly no real reason beside avenging hades which Tesla isn't really all about. They are the biggest mismatch in the whole series.

Also with Qin Shu Shang i really hate that fight bc the author just decide to remove his ability to feel other people pain bc that would literally make him unable to win, also this fight doesn't really say anything. Like it's all about who is the better king... so why are they even fighting? It would've been a better match if it's about tactic than straight up brawl, Shiva vs Sumo dude was all about brawl why have it again? It's like Author was running out of idea.
