This match is so boring that the argument outside the ring is more interesting.

@LordofAlI
He's the god of destruction, not the god of defense.
Most of his fighting has shown that he's really good at attacking but Raiden's pure strength can overwhelm him, after all that's how he got one of his arms crushed. I think its kinda stupid he stood there and simply took the attack. I was expecting him to fire back with his own techniques he displayed.

IF, IF Shiva loses this, we can conclude it's probably just the authors Japan nationalism. Shiva felt like more of a human than Raiden. HOW DOES THAT MAKE ANY SENSE? One is literally the 4 armed god of destruction and he felt more human than Raiden. Like the worst part of it is like how, like I know this is fantasy and stuff but this guy just manipulating muscles like that cause he has muscles to control his muscles? Did I misread? Cause from what I read the Valkyrie doesn't do that for him. He does that himself and the valkyrie is just amping his power and stopping him from self destructing. Like really?

LuBu felt like an actual human vs a god. Adam's power made sense, with them literally quoting the Bible and stuff. Sasaki had concievable human powers... Maybe... borderline I guess. JtR used wit and deciet. But this match? I honestly couldn't tell you who was more human. If Shiva didn't have blue skin and 4 arms I honestly wouldn't know who was the god. This match is so backwards.

Another problem I have with this match, this is such a, what's the word... Slugfest. Both participents just trade powerful attacks and I really felt nothing from them. I feel like match with JtR vs Heracles is still the best in that aspect. It's so fun to read. Then, after the most interesting match, they have this. Just 2 guys trading powerful attacks.

Well, at least I have Simo Hayaha, Rasputin and Qin Shi Huang to look fowards to. They did JtR justice and I hope they do them justice too, especially Rasputin's unkillableness.

with the pattern of how things have gone so far, raiden will lose this but shiva will be pretty god damn fucked up. it could even amount to a draw, but i don't see raiden winning at all

I feel like this is the weakest match and backstory done by the author

Man I’ve really loved the matches until now but this one is boring af. I mean I get u had to nerf all gods, but at least buff the humans enough rather than nerf the gods to this extent. I mean even Zeus was nerfed but Adam was so damn powerful that he at least made the fight awesome. Shiva is literally the god of destruction and ofc you can’t have him powerful enough to destroy the universe by just opening his eyes but to get him beaten up by someone who was not even the strongest dude amongst Normal wrestlers is bs. Even fucking LuBu was buffed to make the fight interesting. Here, the most interesting thing is the backstory. It’s a very commonly known fact to buff rather than nerf but what will ranting here do except make me lose my frustration xd.

This match has felt like a curb-stomp in Raiden's favor. I almost feel like Shiva has to win, or at least turn the tables one more time, because Raiden winning would be so unsurprising.

I preferred the previous matches to this one. The charm of the previous matches was that gods were stronger, so the humans had to compete using special skills rather than strength. I know some people feel like the Japanese characters are overpowered, but Kojiro vs. Poseidon was my favorite match because of how much of an underdog Kojiro was, especially against Poseidon, one of the most powerful Greek gods. Jack vs. Heracles relied on Jack playing tricks and using the environment. Adam vs. Zeus had Adam start off strong, but he relied on his special eyes to copy Zeus's strength and Zeus's hits were (supposedly) one-hit kills against Adam, while Zeus took several of Adam's hits. Lu Bu was overpowered as a human, but outmatched by Thor and had to keep fighting after being brought to his knees. Lu Bu was also a better example of a powerful human finally finding a rival in a god- Raiden doesn't give off the same joy that Lu Bu had, possibly because he feels like he's stronger than Shiva.

Maybe I'm wrong and Shiva will win, but then it'll somehow be the story of an underdog god finding the power within him to defeat a famous sumo wrestler.

Lu Bu was already quite cartoonish and ridicule with his power and strength. But Raiden takes it to another level. He no longer feels like a human. And that makes him far less interesting than the others.
Lu Bu at least had weaknesses and by being "the strongest" he had a role in the story to show that humans can't really compete with plain strength against the gods. And this was very consistent in the rest of the fights, since Adam had to trust in his eyes and "likeness" to the gods to barely fight in equal ground with one of them, but he could still lose if hit just once, and he lost; then Jack and Sasaki did won, but by using methods strange to the gods, Jack being all about human malice and trickery, and Sasaki humbling the perfect Poseidon with his imperfect self.

But here we just have Raiden having godlike strength just because he was born like that, no special training, effort or sacrifice like the others. Fighting Shiva, a god that honestly does nothing but glorified punches with his four arms. At least the other gods had powers and divine interesting abilities. Shiva is supposed to be one of the top gods. I was expecting way more from the god of destruction...

I just hope in the next fight we get a rest of all this mindless fist fight and get some mind games with a human that is neither a killer nor a warrior (a scientist, scholar or artisan).

Finally, a move that actually seems like sumo....

Shiva feels pretty underwhelming this whole fight, and I gotta agree with the "this doesn't feel like the same Shiva as before" sentiment.

I think the fight is also drawn out too much, especially since we already have the "I'm too strong" thing with Thor and Lu Bu. The moves shown here also feel "weak" overall.
