Hard to tell from the story alone. It's definitely way more abrupt than most timeskips I've seen, but it also depends how the author sticks the landing. Based on the next few chapters, it seems... okay? Lots of open story threads at the time of the skip, but if they all continue to flow smoothly into the new timeframe, then we got worried for nothing. Guess we'll have to see how it plays out long-term.I’m just praying this isn’t a sign that the series is getting the 🪓 soon . . .

My biggest disappointment however is not seeing his family's reactions to his success at the Koshien and onwards. Could have been a good point to have his mother get over her sheltering of Aoba since his asthma is likely gone with such development. The time skip felt alright, think about it, where Kenshin is and how long it would take to get there in skill and in professional progression. We'd be having so many fights in the meantime and we would all sit there thinking "How long will it take to get to kenshin." We've established Aoba's love of MMA now and his proper pro debut. This isn't Ippo.
