I feel like Kreese from the Karate Kid series. Aoba wants to beat him but I want more, I want to see the look on the faces of Tanashiro and Yamamotos students when he puts him down.

Yamamoto is being over confident and not even thinking about his current opponent and is just focusing on what's ahead, as if he's already won. It be a perfect opportunity to see a dream get crushed.

I want to see Aoba break Yamamoto arm worse than he did Hachiya and I want to see a smile unintentionally slip from him while he does it. It's going to boost that heel persona of his perfectly. This is not the WWE but it be so satisfying if the other pro fighters start treating Aoba like he's Legend Killer Randy Orton of 09" by the end of this.

It would be even better if Aoba get a Tko win (cuz Yamamoto think he can only grapple) while Kenshin get choked by yoga jujitsu guy

More skips. I’m kinda sad this manga can’t be like Ippo and take its time. It will probably get cancelled if the author did it like Ippo’s earlier chapters.
Agreed it’s unfortunate but authors have to take a sprinters approach to handling storytelling to keep grounded settings like this interesting to readers. The Manga fan base just might not have the same patience as Ippo readers so I can’t blame the author. Though it is very unfortunate that our supporting cast from his gym(specifically muscle boy and MC’s Ex-bully)are getting less and less focus as a result🫤

Sheesh, give Yamamoto a break. The guy has over 50 fights and is still in the game being 44, in a weight class where people after 35 are considered OLD. That deserves some respect.
And of course, he is looking past Aoba because it's literally his last chance to get to the title.

We won't see Aoba at 44 fighting some young prospects who nobody else wants to fight.

Agreed, i can understand being salty about breaking our favorite office worker's ribs and wanting Aoba to win but lets be real. You can't be a fighter unless you truly believe you can beat up almost any guy put in front of you. Especially at that age

Hmm, Nah I want blood.

I'm embracing the dark side here, Yamamoto saw Aoba as his final stepping stone so let's see the look on his face when he's the one who gets stepped over.

Embracing heel life 100%
