I'm not sure if it's an android, there was a lot of blood when the Black Knight had his throat slit. I think it's the armor can go on autopilot if the wearer is killed.

It's an automated system within the Black Armor, if the bearer dies, it will activate an Autopilot. Though Cobra easily kills him after this one though, what an amazing guy.
