Ah interesting. I remember seeing a documentary about the end of this group, the mountain incident they keep referencing. They basically turned into a cult by the end. Kinda disappointing that its starting when the group starts to turn radical as opposed to when the student protests actually started. While on the surface they appear similar to the student protests in the USA in the same time period. The reasons and dynamics for the Japanese protests were a lot different. As well as the reaction of the Japanese government to them.
