It takes until years later and getting sent to study abroad for her to come back to reality and she ends up making an Otome game based off those delusions that she sends to Reiko and, having also become a huge Otome game fan, she likes it.
The contemporary setting just doesn't work. My brain can't mesh shoujo tropes and modern views against bullying and child abuse. What country is this bizarre school suppose to be in? If it's Japan the other students are too foreign, and if it's in Western Europe, then the protagonist is too Japanese. It's also weirdly selective about how sheltered the protagonist is. They have intimate knowledge of fashion and design, but treat a smartphone like they were plucked from the middle ages.
HOLY SHET, I thought this will be about a wholesome story about poor humble lady in rich people highschool until i saw the future spoiler and it was NUTS. i never thought that people
that i initially thought are care to her are actually the one who fkd her life in and out through the story.
btw, we wont see any future ch since the group already disbanded, can someone pick this up ?
this story is seriously messed up... first of all the setting is not isekai but close to it either ww3 occured or its a parallel universe
warning wall of text inc
as for the treatment opinion on mental illnesses... well lets just say that it has to be a different world because else that quack of a doc would have gotten his license revoked
its all about breaking the cycle or you will only prolong it which is why after figuring out the root cause patients are strongly advised or forced to sever the cause
just playing along with the delusion is just plain wrong, those kinds of judgements should be made by specialized professionals while keeping the patient under strict observation
the only reason why going along with it is practised in the case of older and or dement patients is because its currently not possible to reverse aging or a devise a universal dementia cure...
truth to be told that treatment is pretty heartless as it implies that all hope is lost and they can only wait for the patient to die.
yet that is basicly the chosen approach in the story...
i predict that the mc reiko will have to suffer needlessly because the mentaly sick ones will get cured after the story ends with exactly the method that the mc chose to avoid
from a literary pov i would say that this is quite the exceptional work
but personaly i read manga to be amused, eleated or see cuteness not to be downed by seeing unreasonable actions go unavenged if i wanted that i can look for it in rl.
edit: bases on the literary work i would probably give it a 7 or 8 as i would still criticize the missing reactions to the bullying and mental delusions from bystanders besides the maincast and even the some of the maincasts including the mc
but personaly well as i said i dont like it quite heartily
