Kind of a cynical view on things. Talent means jackshit if you don't put in the effort. And putting in effort will make you proficient in most things even without talent.
@degfildge I agree, but in this case, what the means is that since he is untalented, he cannot reach the level of this who are talented no .after how much work he puts in
@degfildge He's still doing great at those things possibly better because he's a workaholic but when he compares himself to people who have an innate aptitude for the same things the cap cannot be closed Hard work vs. natural talent though this is a manga and talent in this manga means you need not to put in the effort.
She forgot to put on one of the socks.
So does that mean if I find a strange looking knife on the ground, I should cut my neck to find out if I will bleed petals?
@LoyaltyFriends it's something that always bugs me, the notion that ultimately talent wins out over effort. cause like...yea sure he's not closing the gap between him and talented people but someone who has no talent and can still learn something and become good at it through hard work is frankly far more impressive than someone who has a natural talent for something. (not to mention with some of the things he listed off he could probably outclass the naturally talented people simply by taking unorthodox methods to gain advantages) plus people with talent still have to actually work hard to get anywhere so i never really liked this whole "talent means you don't need to work hard" thing
Fucking dangerous Japan, just like with Persona, even suggesting that cutting your neck could give you talents is too bizarre lol, in Persona 3 was a shot to the head with a special weapon
