Aww...such a good guy. She has to part ways with her second father, which is sad, but she finally gained his recognition. And...everybody dies someday, since he's an older gentleman I think he's just keeping that in mind. Also I think she can at least respect his sacrifice, even if it's very sad for her. She's proud of him. And he's proud of her. Bitter sweet.
