So i was reading on another site and i think it might have been an official translation but they used the word divergent to describe her abilities, which makes a lot more sense in the context than calling her a heretic. I’m also stuck in the age difference because liz is 17 now, why would her she be threatened by a 13 yr old?

If nothing else, Liz is a commoner while Alicia is from a ducal family, and one close enough to royalty that the crown prince is close friends with basically every kid in it. That's not a political power difference, that's a whole gulf.
