If this is some bootleg “restoration of fate” bullshit, I’ll be severely disappointed.

I don’t know what publishers keeps reusing these tropes, or if people in Japan are really okay with it, but it can stop now, please.

Ugh, see, my mind says she should be super petty and be like "Yep, we don't know each other at all!" and peace out of that relationship. It's been a long while since I read this but he was the one chasing her, this would feel like he pulled a case of "I got you now I'm done with you". I read some spoilers in the comments, and while I realize it was done this way for the "drama" I'm disgusted.

I'm done. Dropped. You shouldn't have picked this up again.

Jesus christ, how the fuck does an author nose dive this hard this fast. The arc after this is supposed to be a nightmare too. Like fuck off

Duke fakes his amnesia so he has a reason to accuse Alicia and exile her to Ravaal, so she can investigate those wolves appearing at the academy. He's actually rather conflicted about doing this, but he wishes she could be free and do as she pleases.
So fucking stupid
Hello Spoiler-sensei here. This is from Web Novel might have changed in Light Novel. There’s a lot of details. I’ll just do a short spoiler summary
Duke did not lose his memory. It is all a ruse to set up a scenario so Alicia can leave the country by falsely exiling her for the “crime” of doing something to him. She basically goes to the other kingdom as a “blind” slave. That gets dropped after due to the other kingdom figuring out she isn’t blind. She ends up working for the other royal family.

This basically enables her to investigate the other kingdom about the whole summoned wolf incident before. There she finds the exiled nobles from her kingdom, including her grandfather. These nobles were exiled for not supporting the current king, they supported the king’s brother. Eventually Alicia does return thanks to Duke, her eye she had given via Magic is returned to her because the recipient died. When she sees him on the bed, she cries and regrets being unable to say goodbye to him while he was still alive.

Eventually it’s alluded that Alicia plans to continue her excursions outside the kingdom.

Also our dear “Saint” that everyone loathes. It’s revealed she was unconsciously using Charm Magic. After she was confronted, it is revealed it was being activated because she is in love with Duke. Her desire for Duke to look her way was the reason why. Eventually it is found out all her saint talk is basically her naive thinking what an ideal saint should be like. As a naive daughter of a commoner family, she didn’t understand all the complex nuances and issues. Once she drops that, she is a bit more likeable. Especially her confession that she hates Alicia but also admires her cause of how hardworking Alicia is.

There is a bit of a funny scene where Duke berates his own looks. Which causes our “heroine” to almost strangle him as she states that all the women after him was because he so handsome. Duke fairly surprised about that fact.
The author should be barred from writing ever again.
