Gotta ask, does this kingdom has NO intelligence agency to pursue this problem that you need to straight up fuck over one of your noble family's entire reputation just so someone can go and check the suspicious country from inside?
There is no way for Alicia to return and have a proper life let alone marry the crown prince right after being publicly CONDEMNED and PUNISHED (not accused) for using mind control on the said prince. Everyone will just say "well she obviously managed to mind control everyone in the royal family this time" and now you have a coup brewing.
Also what is stopping other noble families from starting to fuck with Alicia's family right away since none of them knows the truth? And how is the traitor's family members are still allowed anywhere near the royal family?

Entire thing is pretty convoluted and braindead like author wants to pull "villainess" shit for the MC but doesn't want to address actual negative effects of it so just straight up ignores them all because it would interfere with her make believe "happy vibes"

Oh no, I smell the axe falling. Too many plot threads are getting wrapped up. The scheme about Duke forgetting was resolved, Liz and MC had a heart to heart, Alicia very clearly won the romance, Alicia stated her goals, had a recognition about this world being "real", no loose threads back home...

I have a suspicion that the next few chapters might be the last.
No, this is actually straight out of the original novel, pretty much presented as is, and a long, long way away from the close of the story.

Unfortunately, what you are seeing is a very contrived transition to the next act, reading as clumsily in th original as it is, here, and what comes next is even more contrived (and frankly, ridiculous that a kingdom would put its strongest noble's daughter in the position she's about to be in.) You have to grit your teeth and put up with it, so you can get to the rest of the story that is considerably better.

1. Because clearly a spy would totally easily get all the way close to royal family of an enemy country, right? They literally mentioned the Laval royal family in this chapter as the target.

2. Once they reveal the whole thing was an act to send her as undercover agent, only idiots would try to say anything otherwise. Coup? Good, time to weed out the stupid/disloyal.

3. Only Alicia was condemned and not her family so the king already made a distinction at that point. Anyone dumb enough to try something will just be added to the shit list for failing to read between the line.

On one side, i like that they both acknowledge their own worth

On the other side, this "Saint" made MC´s brothers and virtually everyone hate her, she is a horrible person in the eyes of so many

I wont feel ok until Ms Saint fixes that "tiny" issue and also assumes her due fault in it, like, i don´t want her to go to a goblin cave with nothing but a butter knife. But i would like her to at least announce her power, at least to Mc´s family, her power will prevent her from receiving any punishment but at least let the brothers know they treat their sister like shit for nothing

What makes you think they will let someone who is exiled for fucking MIND CONTROL MAGIC close to the royal family of a foreign country? If not issue a straight up kill on sight order. Alicia got publicly condemned. I'm sure even Alicia is not dumb enough to think they will let her anywhere near the royal family. And at that point, even a run of the mill spy can gather information. Probably even better than she ever could. But this kingdom apparently has none if it has come down to having a Duke's daughter do it in this convoluted and contrived manner.
2. Once they reveal the whole thing was an act to send her as undercover agent, only idiots would try to say anything otherwise. Coup? Good, time to weed out the stupid/disloyal.
You publicly condemn a high profile individual and announced TO THE WHOLE WORLD that she is being exiled for mind manipulation attempt on the crown prince. Only complete retards would be convinced that her return and her name getting cleared by the target SHE MISSED LAST TIME caused by anything but another mind manipulation magic. Successfully this time. Don't forget that nobles have no idea about the whole ruse. You seem to think royal families in medieval societies have this superpower to silence their court and kill off any disgruntled voice, while in reality, its the opposite. Every voice in the court has an army backing them. And now those voices will think king got mind-fucked into relinquishing the throne to a traitor. (since alicia obviously gonna marry the prince at some point)
3. Only Alicia was condemned and not her family so the king already made a distinction at that point.
If king believes that distinction makes any difference, he is even more retarded than Alicia's plan. If a primary member of a noble's family in the king's high court attempts high treason, nobody bothers with the household that's been raising her all this time? What makes people think they are not in cohorts together? Sounds legit. Does the king also has mindcontrol powers?

Laval? The country that is suspected to be behind the recent incidents like the wolf, the card, and possibly even the one spreading this exaggerated rumors of Alicia? Yeah, they'd tooootally believe she actually can do that when they're propping up someone with actual charm-type effect.

Even if they do believe it counter measures clearly exist so if they think she is obsessed with Duke and want revenge on Liz it would make her a good pawn to recruit and used if anything.

Also I've seen the RAW so I know how she'll meet the royals. It make sense.

Not to the whole world, like what's the point of sending out notices to enemy country you've got issues internally.

Guess who's those 'selected few' are gonna be? Likely the ones that have sway in the country so when the reveal happen they're already prepared.
In case of Alicia we know her dad/mom are in but not her brothers.

And again, if the reveal is the mind control thing is fake, you'd have to be REALLY retarded to keep insisting on it being a point, especially if all the powerful families in the known are also revealing they've known about it.

If king believes that distinction makes any difference, he is even more retarded than Alicia's plan. If a primary member of a noble's family in the king's high court attempts high treason, nobody bothers with the household that's been raising her all this time? King literally point out the father is a good person but daughter is not. If the years of father being in court isn't enough to make a point then shrug

If by your logic that one bad apple = the whole family can't be trusted, then every series where the clown prince is retarded and take action while the king/queen is away would mean the king/queen are complicit and the court should stop trusting the royal family altogether after one retard cause an incident.

An interview with the author:
https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/in...-villainess-who-goes-down-in-history-/.224845

I think it makes for pretty good reading, since much of Alicia's beliefs are a reflection of the author's beliefs.
Thanks for sharing that.

That does explain why Okido wrote the story the way she did. Two characters, not really rivals or adversaries, more two people with very different views of the world which leads to conflict without either really disliking the other. Frenemies?
