Not sure if I'm understanding her ability right... does she jump into peoples' bodies and "hijacks" them, turning them into herself?

No she basically merges with their personality and memories after a mental battle where winner takes all (personality, memories, soul).

Problem is If the person she merges with has a stronger mental state then wouldn't they become the Main one? Which is what I bet happened, is that even though she "won" the Princess basically had enough persona it probably severely alternated the witches original mentality.

I think her power is to take a person’s knowledge and memories.

She convert herself into a 'soul', fly at a target then both her and the target fight it out in the battlefield of soul.
Winner get everything from the loser, life, memories, magic power, etc. Loser go poof.
And yes, the fact that she's still alive means she has never lost.

One caveat that's shown here but not explicitly pointed out though.

Is that she can 'read' the information of those who willingly choose to give up much easier compare to those who resist until they break.

That's why she even go through the whole fight with Garcia, telling her it's ok to give up.

I think the fight end differently in the WN tho.

iirc, she actually used a magical super weapon to finish off Garcia instead of spawnkilling.

And yes absorbing Garcia ends up influencing her personality a bit.


Then ironically she later die to Roland by him spawnkilling her...because as she said 'you can't do what you can't grasp'...but he know things she doesn't because SCIENCE.

Yes and no.

He get all of those, however the power is too much for a male body that can't use magic to bear.
So after a long coma, the 'power' ends up stabilizing as a magical world existing in magic dimension that Roland can access when he's asleep.

That world has its own history, but seem to be heavily influenced by Roland's memories of Earth.
And every single soul that has been absorbed are in this world, having 'new lives' in it, as well as some residents who seem to have inhabit the world throughout its 'history' (the main difference is that people got nom'd by Zero's battlefield all live in a single building Roland is also living in, and the others aren't)
Garcia isn't a Wimbledon or his sister, she's a martial artist with her own history of living in that world.

And of course since a man can't use magic, this world in fact has two 'creator's.

The other? Zero of course, now a little girl who has a new backstory because she's a resident, now a loli and is a lot more timid.

@Wuiff That's what every single person would assume. And yet, You gonna be disappointed in Roland vs Zero battle unless the mangaka changes it. Nothing of what Roland thinks works, which makes zero sense, at least Gundam should work, and he's a fan of that thing. The author wanted to make this battle tense, for some reason, despite everything pointing out the advantage of Roland. Yes, imagination isn't everything, but there are tons of things that are possible that we just don't know how to make it. I mean, you don't need to actually know how it works, that siege beast, for example, Zero has no idea how it works, or how to make more. A bullet-proof skin? Graphene can make that, we just don't how to produce large quantities of that. The terminator? We know it's possible, the power source is the only thing we aren't sure, the rest can be done. ED 209, sure can be done easily.

@Ant1989 Y unfortunately they almost always try to make things more exciting and every battle needs to be at the brink of losing but if u cant reason it, than they just do it for the purpose of tension and neglect the plot and logic.
