Ah yeah, I've read the webnovel so it's easy to follow for me but I can see what you mean about the pacing as it's often typical of novel adaptations. To be fair though, I think dedicating more chapters to the other background events would be unnecessary since they're currently not interacting with Roland. You just have these chapters to get a glimpse of background events but the view point mostly stays with Roland and what Roland is doing right now isn't particularly complicated plot-wise. He's just fighting monsters.
