Thanks for translation!
Really enjoyed this chapter……It's as if the very begin of the real story(meanwhile, this may be the last chapter of volume 1?).
Although something in Ch.5 (and the main story) had me thinking about this, I was still very shocked(?) when it actually happen.

Every single chapter of Harmony is pretty fun to read while Reliance is something I read just because I used to read love at 14.
I wouldn't say "quality" then, but mood, or direction.

I thought you were dissing my work.

Yes, most likely the female MC from the main manga. This one is a spin off series based on that.

I'm still dont understand, does the nurse teacher trying to keep shiki away from someone ? By trying to keep her busy with new friend?

It seems to me that Haijima wants to keep Shiki away from herself. In the japanese version,The author uses the word "自分" in the place of the word "someone" .
As we saw, while Haijima and Shiki were together in the infirmary, Tachibana rushed in and then took Shiki away. Indeed, this chapter has many such scenes.

And then, for the reasons behind it, here's what I think: In the main story, Haijima had said that Shiki should stay away from her. Despite being immediately followed by ch.46 (ski course day), problems between them were not resolved yet. She doesn't like Shiki treating her as a comrade, or any other such relationship. (I think that in Intermission 74, Haijima may have been thinking just such a thing……How they will treat each other after these all happened?)
This could be coming from some sort of defense mechanism, who knows. Hard to say.

Really sorry for my English. I can hardly speak it. But I so want to discuss these lovely plots with others.

That is the FMC of 14 sai no koi, who she have crush on, one side, remember ?
It's obivously mean the teacher try to give her a new friend, help she can move on from broken heart.

Well, one is give another vanila side ship become the main focus, a vanilla story. The other is side story of 2 unfufilled love, both is very much different story, tone. It may not what you looking for, i think it is great drama.

Quality speaking, I personally like this one more, because i get what i looking for on Harmony, while this is go exceed my expectation.

I checked and you might be right. I'll change the translation.

Well, other poster has a point. This author's way of writing dialogues is a bit unique and their sentences are often disjointed.

The original's in three parts:
自分から (from myself/herself)
私を遠ざけたかったのね (wanted to keep me away)
Next page:
可愛いひと (cute person)

自分 is a bitch, because you have to guess who it's referring to according to context. But one thing is sure, it's a reflexive pronoun, so it doesn't point to an unmentioned third party.

After re-reading, I think Haijima wants Shiki to stop hanging around her (in the infirmary), so she gives her a lot of errands and found her a new friend. She's just pissed off at Shiki. It's in the character of Haijima to be gruff. It's misinterpreted by the others as "Haijima manipulates Shiki to do her bidding".

Whereas the one at fault is Shiki, who clings to Haijima because she's the only person she knows who's "like her" (Lesbian and with a one-sided love). I don't think Shiki has a crush on Haijima though (but with this author, everything's possible).

Hmm... given that she called that "she" adorable, i was expect it is about Katana.
I guess if it mean to be the teacher, the scenarior of she taken that type of like to the teacher for a while now is not unlikely, actually quite possible.
That cold look while she saying that after knowing what teacher doing for her https://mangadex.org/chapter/18ba0cf8-a3e1-441e-b88f-835624d3328b/33
Seeing it as "Ara ara" energy make a lot of sense :finnawoke:

I was expecting it to be about Kanata too, so I translated it about Kanata first.
But then, the new translation matches the Japanese better, because of the reflexive pronoun, 自分, and it makes sense story-wise.
