I knew this before I even started reading this manga (thank/fuck you MAL description for S2 of the ReLife anime even though it's my fault for checking that but the comments on previous chapters would've spoilt it for me anyway) but knowing that made me appreciate in a different way as this twist wasn't out of left field at all
The hints they give are pretty great & logical and the moment they reveal it was suprising (in the middle of what seems like a confession)
But I have no idea how the story goes from here though so let's see where we go from here...

I love how to make up lack of her emotional awareness, she's super observant in hard facts and clues. And seeing how she picks up

signs of the experiment, she was able to correctly deduce I remember how shocked I was when I read it! But that's what makes rereading so enjoyable that you see how Yayoi foreshadowed it and it wasn't out of nowhere and was planned from the start!
