I finally caught up with this manga after not reading since chapter 183.

... I'm not crying. You're crying.

So this it where it ends. A good reflection of one story ending for another to begin. Nice callbacks to supporting characters and the final moment is our four leads having a drink to celebrate. Yeah , this was I expected and I love it.
Thanks Yayoi Sou and thanks a lot RELIFE

What a timing, I've just finished binge reading the whole series and it got updated just in time.

Man, look at Ohga's and Kariu's matching earrings. It's the same design as the cat and Hishiron's hairbands (that were chosen by Kariu and Tamarai). That was really cute.

I'm really glad that everything ends well with everyone. Their developments makes me really happy for them.
Seriously though, Yoake and Onoya are the real MVP here.
Though, I do wish that they explore more about Tama trio. Tama deserves her love too.
(and maybe a bit of the teachers too)

Thank you, Yayoi Sou, and thanks to Whiteout Scans for staying with the whole series

This story really went nowhere. The more you think about it, the more absurd it is. Kaizaki didn't realize there are other ways work can be fulfilling, like starting his own business that fits his ethics or going into another field entirely. Our protagonist's final answer was to join a shady organization that exists to make cogs out of people, and thinks nothing of drugging and memory erasing children? This does nothing for reader's trying to relate because no such magical job where you can perpetually live out your "glory days" as a high schooler exist, nor does it address why he dropped out of society in the first place. Are we suppose to take away that he was wrong to be disturbed by the horrific state of office politics that lead his colleague to suicide and a society that likes to brush it under the rug?

@Ironclad While I can see the viewpoint you're trying to relate, the moral and focus of the story is more that even in the face of such tragedy, life still goes on and what's important is not to shut it out because of the bad, but rather to overcome it and become stronger from it. At least that's what I got, and I believe the moral is secondary to the romance which was pretty darn good. Once again my opinion. Remember that a lot of stories can have a very different meaning to them if you view it from a different perspective. Also this kind of 'magic' as you say is all part of SciFi, and if the story had a different tone could have turned out very different.

End of an era. Never have I had a manga which would leave me with a smile on my face after almost every chapter. The genre of Japanese high school drama might seem like a beaten dead horse in manga today but ReLIFE proved that a skilled mangaka can still make a masterpiece in it. Look forward to the sequel, if it is to be.

Thank you Whiteout Scans for translating this for english readers. Your team was always quick to produce high quality translation, typesetting, and redraw. I don't think there will ever be another attempt that exceeds your work. A toast to you.

Ah... That all too familiar feeling of an empty void forming in my heart everytime you finish a story...

This is literally the only thing I look foward to every Monday, the only thing that makes Mondays worth it tbh.

Thank you ReLife for everything.

I'll await your next report. See you next time.

@Ironclad: I don't have anything to add in terms of the structure of this story, but I'll just share my own experience on the kind of issue you have.

Essentially you expected the series to go a certain way of your preference and are angry it didn't.

That's fine. I've had it happen to me as well. I profoundly disliked the way Tower of God was going.

So I dropped it around chapter 200, when it finally became clear there was no chance of what I wanted happening.

People have speculated about Arata joining ReLIFE in the end since at least the time when it became clear he and Hishiro were test subjects and would forget each other.

More to the point of your preferred outcome, it became clear there wouldn't be a discussion of office work culture in Japan since like, when Arata visited his senpai's grave. The whole mood of the series has always been learning to move on from a tragic past, not reform the roots of the system involved in the tragedy.

Nobody can fault you for reading to the end nonetheless. Some people like to read stuff to completion for the sake of completion. I certainly translate series I grow to dislike to completion, so I cannot throw stones.

But do you really think it makes any sense to complain about what you knew, or should have known was coming?
