True such measures might be reserved for more serious injuries, but you would think taking care of wound that that would the Marquis' hier from using his dominant hand would merit more then a hastily wrapped clothe bandage.

Also correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't a Count just a half step below a Marquis? I know authors can't be bothered to properly research practically anything these days, but even Google can pull that info out of the AI's ass without an overview.

Rosalie's count family is destitute and burdened with a huge debt. If the author was even a little bit intelligent, that would be the point of people looking down on her. Counts were important nobles, so having all those other students look down on her because it's supposedly low nobility is indeed nothing but the author's pure ignorance and laziness. In the first place, only a single child, typically the oldest son, will inherit the noble rank, leaving the other children automatically for "lesser" paths in life. A daughter of a marquis would be glad to become the wife of a decent (future) count. There were only so many inheriting sons of dukes around.
