This is maximum gay.

Yaoi because they're crossdressing as boys.
Yuri because they're girls.

Ultigay.

It's pretty much a BL story play out by girls.
Not really interested since I want GL and not BL. But kinda sorta fun to look at it as a relic of the time where mangaka had to try some really convoluted ways to "sell" yuri/GL, playing dress up as BL was one of them.

Huh, that was an interesting premise that.. wasn't very good. As many reviews and comments I read said, this is the most yaoi yuri I have read. Plenty of predictable twists and clichés that I despise and a rushed conclusion makes this a weak manga.

I wish the characters were more interesting. When a character fills the role of a trope, that is all they will be; this can be applied to every character. At best, they might have one detail you learn later, but it isn't an interesting twist. They fulfill their roles and satisfy the weak clichés the story demands, but don't find any character more memorable than the others.

The story has an interesting premise with the death of all males and females having to fill the role of males, but the whole time I didn't understand why. That's okay because the answer the manga gives is, "Well we gotta." It's used to create tension and drama by threatening expulsion and ostracization by society. The ending feels like it was supposed to be dramatic, but it was rushed and bland. I won't spoil it, but it feels like it put the cart in front of the horse. Heck, the first half of chapter 16 is just them telling you the predictable twist.

4/10 I recommend finding a better yuri (or yaoi if that's actually what you wanted) to spend time reading. It was okay but boring and predictable; it was a very specific cliché that made me give it below a 5. You can find it on page 5 of chapter 16 if you're curious of which one it is.
