I don't mind the MC for now because I am holding out hope that he will have development if this series manages to survive for a while. My interpretation is that Glasses is clearly run down from his job and not feeling very good about himself. I am hoping Gyaru will get him to feel better and become livelier... sort of like Anna in Yancha Gal no Anjou-san with respect to Seto coming out of his shell a bit as their relationship develops.
