Derek purposely uploaded a chapter on their site again after over 6 months of inactivity just so he can remove the inactive label from the group thus allowing him to AGAIN removes every single of renzokusei non-joint chapters. This guy will probably do this again after another six month just to troll mangadex.

Derek is basically abusing the rule 2.4 as you can see from the comment section, this group has been labeled as inactive once but he uploaded a single fking chapter to remove all the group upload for the 2nd time then went mia just to resurface again after the group is labeled as inactive AGAIN just to again removes all non-joint chapter for the 3rd time. The guy at this point is basically trolling mangadex.

@dmy96 You're right, that is why I did it, and I'll continue to do so for as long as I need to. But when the MD staff has some absolute pricks in it, and I've received death threats from readers on this site and in the past, why would I want to have my group's stuff uploaded to this site?

If you want to read our stuff you can either download it or go to some shitty aggregate site. Not going to support this site or its users with our releases.

Though the release of hiota was never meant to be a one off, life just got in the way there.

@Derek then why do you use this site at all? Isn't that supporting it? If you want users to have to go to an aggregate site to find your releases, why do you use MD yourself?

Either way, if repeating this dance every 6 months results in a new chapter of something being released that can be read somewhere, you can bet that the users will keep doing it too.

@AnonMan88 I go to a scanlation group's website where possible, use crunchyroll and mangaplus for those series, and then there are a handful of groups that don't have websites and just upload here for the convenience so if I want to read some things I have to come here. As long as it's not here I genuinely don't care where users get RZK's releases. They're available for download and can be found elsewhere.

Considering everything that I will be releasing if I have to keep up with MD's shitty rule, chances are it won't particularly matter much as it's only stuff for unpopular series and even releases for stuff that has already been released. But if I have to keep it up every 6 months, well, then see you in 6 months.

@derek those groups that only upload here also get their works uploaded to aggregator sites. By reading them here, aren't you supporting this website? (With stat counts, not ads.)

Regardless, this whole debacle brings a smile to my face because it always reminds me of why Demo said he stopped working with you so many years ago. You certainly proved him right...

And as for that rule, we're lucky they have it. People vanish from scanlating all the time. Of course, you're familiar with that fact from running Renzokusei. Without that rule, the releases for giant sites that go offline like Mangastream wouldn't be here for so many to enjoy.

I'm sure you may have talked to him once upon a time, but we didn't stop working together. We just basically moved to officially licensed work, rather than scanlation. Which is part of the reason RZK as a whole slowed down, because that took priority. But, yes, smiles.

I guess I'll also just point out that he is entirely aware of this and has absolutely no problem with it. Not that this is anything close to a "debacle".

@Derek is there really no way for you to forgive this site? I know my last post is really insensitive and I sincerely apologize for that, I'm also shocked to hear about the death threats you've received. However, I'm sure that compare to the amount people who spew bs on you, there are more who actually fans of your work. At least for me I grow up with your TL since way back during my early highschool years up till now.
I'm really thankful that you finish up mei no naisho after every group that worked on it dropped it, that series has always been my all time favourite. This is just me, but I'm sure there are more people who grew up with your tl works. Many of your fans are using mangadex simply because they want a centralized manga community after old batoto dead after all and pretty sure those who keep throwing insults on you are simply retards who want to join in scantlation drama.

If it was only just the readers, I probably wouldn't really care, honestly. I'm well past the point where I'm aware of how idiotic a large amount of the readers are. It's the combination of the readers and the MD staff I know and dealt with, rather than just one or the other.

However, I still hope that you will one day be able put the past behind you and come back to work your magic on reviving good ol dead project to completion no matter how slim the chance is.
