It's still a bit of a culture shock for me by how common it is there lol. It's cute for romcoms but a little messy for revenge plots.

yeah. and a lot of standalone 'revenge' where it's someone who ruined them business-wise as a coworker versus relationship stuff but i can imagine some boss power dynamics stuff as well tho usually other than anything extreme it'd be enough to prove harassment and have them fired/transferred but those tend to be subplots of other stories (altho i'd think other than diff depts ppl would be discouraged from dating each other so they wouldn't be distracted/show favoritism or so, or doing mixers with other companies b/c be awkward if someone was publicly rejected or their breakup was known within the company lol)
