So, he just wants an attractive woman to show off, then. That's a young person's mindset. Physical attraction is important, but I'd say personality is more needed for the long run. Granted, he didn't originally have the mindset, but whatev.

Interesting though. He's not a one dimensionally evil character, like a lot of revenge fantasy targets. He's just the kinda guy that seems normal at first, until you get to know him a little and find out he's a total douche.

oof you'd think as also a former bully victim that wouldn't have happened versus karin coincidentally being like someone he had a crush on before

Considering his coworkers knew about his affair you'd think he'd also have Karin try to behave better as well /try to keep up the appearance of an 'ideal wife' even if she doesn't go to his workkplace (tho i wouldn't be surprised if they had shit-talked the femmc when they first got married, altho i guess the reaction from his reunion was like that)

i vaguely remember seeing one story where one person got married just for a promotion which seems like bs/should be none of the company's business unless it's some family run thing where someone being married would look better versus "they have someone depending on them so a raise/promotion makes sense")

there was that cute romcom where two office workers got married/lied about it to their work so they wouldnt' be transferred to europe but that was more wholesome/lighthearted

I can't even call him douche, he is just spineless and too weak in too many ways. He choose have a affair with the bully because she was pretty, he could end the married in the moment he started going out with her, but he was too weak to break with Aoi and now Aoi is pushing in tha same manner the bully did and again againhe don't have the guts or the capacity to say no to her. NOW he is not a villan, but a weak characters that choose stay weak.

Yes, the politic "our employer should be marriead" is something you just find in fiction, but, the problem is the affair. If he cheated the person who he sweart love and loyality then what he is capable of doing to a private company. Japanese social etiquette is serious, recently a actress was fired from Super Sentai because supposedly they caught her drinking in public when still underage

PS: sorry for my poor english

Yeah guess it might depend, I did see this korean webtoon where this middle aged 'loser' had to lie to a client that he was also married, but he specifically worked for a 'matchmaking/marriage' company, while it shouldn't matter if you're good at reading personalities and just doing the setup i guess most ppl wouldn't wanna hire a matchmaking company where the worker is also still single. But i wouldn't be surprised given how traditional asia/jp is. like how it's common for office ladies to 'quit/retire' after marriage so they can focus on being a housewife/become a mom
