Request a Different Group?

is this a weird thing to ask? I know there is a thread to get someone to pick up dropped manga, but can we get a service to get someone different to tackle a series?

Was a big fan of Pumpkin Night, but man, the translations are almost shit-post tier. Unnecessary politcal commentary, made up dialogue, thrown in jokes. It's basically a shitpost translation.

You can certainly try creating a thread for this, but you'll run into the expected problems:

Lack of interest in the series
Lack of time, if too many projects already
Lack of time, if too busy IRL
Lack of manpower (i.e. typesetters or translators)
Not finding the content agreeable (i.e. X-TREEM gore/violence)
Not wanting to be accused of _*ugh* 'sniping' an active ongoing project
etc.

As for paid commissioned scanlations (which do exist), that's well outside this poster's knowledge, so maybe someone on discord can shed more light on that.

The request isn't weird in itself, but the chances of it being granted are 10 times lower than the already low chances of a general request to pick up a manga being granted. After all, you'd be asking a group to jump straight into a release war.
