Request for a Promo format tag

I would politely like to request a Promo tag added to the format tags. Promotional comics are being used to draw attention to Webnovels and they are currently been classified as one shots. A lot of scanlators are picking these projects up recently. But unlike one shots they aren’t self-contained stories. They are instead a prologue or first chapter of a longer arc and for readers who aren’t into Webnovels, it only creates frustration at an incomplete story. Some groups do title the chapter as promo, but others only use titles like ‘Chapter 0’ which could easily be a prologue. I would like for a promos to be a searchable tag, so that people seeking a new Webnovel have a convenient way of searching. And people who don’t what them, can easily exclude them from their searches.

No. Because the promo tag is useless since if a promo is released then its a good chance (in the case of chinese things) that it gets a series. And most groups dont just do the promos. they find series they think they might work on, read it, then go back and translate.

@blackyawgdom If a serialization is released then the tag can be removed from that series. But in Korean Promos, it’s often used to promote a novel translation by the same group or another. In Japanese mangas one shots do become full serials but the one shot tag continues to exist. But it’s a valid point and the plausibility off switch out the tag in case the promo becomes a serial should be explored.
