When adding an image to a post, it can become somewhat detrimental to the viewing experience, due to the wide range of sizes of images that are posted, especially when images are left unspoilered (which most are).
Often the user is unaware of the size of the image he or she is linking, and it can result in images ranging from this

Something to help improve this would be a feature such as the one demonstrated by this script , where the user can hover over an image to display the image at its full size.
Alternatively, images linked could be automatically resized if they go above a specified limit, or the user could possible choose from a selection of predetermined image resolution resizes in the toolbar when posting a comment.
My bad if this has been suggested before. If it has, I'm unaware of it.
