Oh, so now I've learned.
If the little flag after the series' name is Chinese (red with little communist symbol on the upper-left), the story will be shit and cliché, the characters dumb as fuck but overpowered and the pacing rushed and boring at the same time.
If the little flag is Hong Kongese (red with a flower in the middle), the story might be good, with novel ideas, interesting characters, believable reactions and generally good.

@aFFi good to know. I hadn't noticed the flag difference. I normally stay away from Chinese Manhua and had been surprised I liked this one. (It's stereotyping aF, but I've been burned too many times by Manhua with lackluster story and terrible flow). So far, I've been reading each chapter wondering when the shoe will drop and I get a "where the heck did this story go" moment. Sure, it's dependent on author and even manga has those things but I had the pre-expectation thinking of it as a Manhua.
