Seems like the author is trying to wrap up the manga. What's amazing is, as a result, he either willfully or accidentally made Abel a complete Chad who hilariously rejected instantly the two main love interests in favour of best demon girl. I'm thinking that if he wasn't rushing the ending, we'd have gotten more love triangle bullshit and probably ended with a harem. The story is a complete dumpster fire, but at least this part was entertaining.

Mangadex tags tell you nothing about the future direction of a series. They're dynamic, not static, and change based on the current direction of the manga. This previously had a "harem" tag. The tag was removed after this chapter reveal. The expectation was for this to be a harem, not the other way around.
