Indeed. If this title was a isekai, saying that it was a otherworlder tradition passed down by a previous hero would be the perfect excuse (like how YuuShou does constantly), but as a tensei title the only valid excuse would be a alternative Earth, but with magic and monsters.

But in the end christmas is just a plot device to create a romantic development between the MC and their love interest, so it's hard to expect logic from a oversaturated genre like tensei or isekai...

All these series have valentines day, xmas and other things that don't fit specially things like hot spring onsens and swimsuits. I just blank it out these days cause it'll never go away.
