So, how come all of Abel's old companions seem to still be alive after 200 years and want to "get back at him"?
Because the author's done a shit job at setting up real present-day conflicts that the MC can be involved in and not solve easily so we have to invent a bunch that have no real sensible background to try and keep driving the story forward.
I'm perilously close to dropping this. The MC is generic "everyone looks down on me even though I'm actually the best" that plays at trying to do a story about prejudice and discrimination without any of the actual drama involved in it aside from the occasional insensitive/bigoted comment that he can brush off because all that matters is that he's secretly the best. The harem of girls is dumb because the MC has already chosen the teacher who he has a history with and is the only character who can really understand him outside of his cover identity so there's no real point in teasing other harem candidates because we know they can't win. And even that relationship is so chaste as to be non-existent (I'm not asking for sex, just a better sense that he actually deeply cares for her beyond simply quietly doing things that are expected from him) The villains are either non-threats or ill-defined threats that hate the MC for poorly explained reasons (who are also likely to mostly be non-threats).
Basically nothing matters except for this being another chuuni self-insert power fantasy.
Come on, we both know that the unsealed ancient demon is going to interrupt the confession.I'm willing to give the author...3...NO, FIVE whole dollars if Abel turns them both down on Christmas, saying "Umm, I'm 200 years older than you and banging your teacher."
FIVE bucks! Come and get it!
There are two types of old companions: sane people who leave descendants who will become MC's harem. And crazy ones who just wouldn't die.So, how come all of Abel's old companions seem to still be alive after 200 years and want to "get back at him"?
Ohhhh eww, like....Come on, we both know that the unsealed ancient demon is going to interrupt the confession.
I wonder if the white-haired guy is just yandere and unsealed the demon specifically for that purpose.

Still, the crazy ones don't really have any reasons to hate the MC. I guess they're just that crazy. At least, until the author reveals their motives.
Damn, that's exactly the feeling I got from Cain but I couldn't pinpoint where I'd seen it before. Well, there it isOhhhh eww, like....
