And yeah, umbrellas would be roughly the same; the big differences over 200 years are 8n language and social etiquette; hell, English in the 1400s was massively different from the 1600s, and same with French.
Without mass communication being available, vowels shift, consonants shift, and even old slang terms that people hate become normal words in everyday usage.
Umbrellas are pretty safe, but the fact that you don't twist your head like everybody else when walking down the street can get you beaten up...

@Spoonikle - if you look at the first chapter, the clothes did change quite a lot. The clothes he has worn 200 years ago were totally fantasy, while these ones are European-style.

There is a stark difference between people of the 19th century and the people of the 21st and the same applies to the 15th and 17th century. The difference may seem minute to an outside viewer but to someone living inside a given century, any century before or after would be very different, let alone two centuries ahead.

Something strikes me as odd about the girl's face on page 19, when she's handing him the umbrella. She seems... off model on that angle and so does her hair. The mouth especially seems odd.

It's a minor issue and I still respect their ability to draw characters on model so often, but I think something may have went wrong on that one.
