Why is he wearing western style clothing? Where is his Victorian clothes?

And why does the demon say "this wound you gave me, it aches so much" and then a few pages later he doesn't know who Abel is?

@Nk9bjP4A He knows he's the one that gave him the wound...he just doesn't know who exactly he is. He's starting to suspect that Abel is someone from a different time. I thought this was pretty obvious... :/
