I don't understand why it is called reincarnation. It seems a different word should be used to better describe the process. Otherwise we could say that Fry from Futurama was reincarnated, which really does not sit well with me as the same method of someone's consciousness being transferred to another world into a baby yet to be born.

What are you talking about?
They explained this chapter one.
He made a new body based on a younger version of himself then he made his soul reincarnate into in in the future.
That's not the same as Fry as that's just the same body brought to the future.

@vodspod That's not the same thing. Fry was in stasis. The protagonist here cast a spell that actually killed himself and constructed a new body 200 years later to transfer his sole into. He did actually reincarnate. Moving between worlds has nothing to do with reincarnation itself, it's just coming back to life in a different body.

sure there's MORE casualties, but when they're in the dark it's usually far more scarier

I think the only reason I even like this series, is that the MC is actually getting laid instead of being a celibate monk. I think any male over the age of 20 (or female for that matter) that had some sort of "life" before reverting to a young age would at least be trying to get something on the side instead of suffering through their teenage years. Whether it is by a "Demon Princess/Prince" acting as their Sibling/Maid/Butler/Teacher, Yay convenient over the top plot armor. Or even getting a mistress/gigolo for a butler/maid, that they put up in an apartment near the school. I always wondered why most stories never do (except those that take it to the extreme the other way) since raging hormones for males and females during the teen years do not go away, just cause you have a mind of an ancient person in that body. Going through School blue balling yourself does not sound fun to me.

Sure it is a thing. But 99.999999999% of similar style Manga the MC has an orientation, whether getting any or not. I actually do not know of any that have a true asexual human teenage MC, but I am sure there is something out there. Though I disagree about him looking like he is asexual, more like he has resting bitch face or is stone faced, a side effect of being an adult in a teenagers body. Adults tend to school themselves and their "tells" a bit better than teenagers would, keeping things close to the chest. No matter their actual feelings, that is more of a learned reaction then a biological one. That he is acting like an adult would, which juxtaposes with his obvious teenage looks, I guess could give the appearance of being asexual. Not necessarily the authors/drawers intent, but it is the vibe I get. Hmm another thing I like about the MC, he does act more like an adult would, and is not one of those "I am an old person but I act even younger than my physical age and is constantly angry " types. The plot reasoning for having the kids around him stretches it for me, it could have been done better.
