well, that was stupid
The fact a guy cannot be prosecuted for the same dozen crime? Not stupid. It's realistic. Money talks. Now if the dad avoid taxes, then he'd be prosecuted faster than the rapist can cum

Also in Japan it seems everything its about optics. The father is fine by the son being an accused rapist, but not a convicted rapist.

Rapist's father clearly has a lot of money and power. He bought off everyone.
Also the dark side of Japan’s high prosecution rate is that often they aren’t willing to pursue cases unless they are certain they can win https://www.nippon.com/en/japan-top...-explaining-japan’s-99-9-conviction-rate.html
Some experts suggest that Japan’s overemphasis on achieving just results at the expense of protecting the rights of the accused results in “rough justice,” although I think the situation can be explained partially in terms of different legal cultures. In Britain, for example, prosecutors use what is called the “51 percent rule” as a baseline in deciding whether to pursue a case, with the figure describing their confidence that a jury will decide in their favor. In Japan, going to trial with such a low level of assuredness of the outcome would be unthinkable.

I'm not really sure what uramin is supposed to do here? It's pretty clear exposing the payoffs isn't gonna be enough this time. Might end up being she discovers much bigger than the small time criminal activity she's been digging up.
