This one is an actually good "regression"-style manwha. There's plenty of them out there, most of them don't keep you. The first few chapters are par for the course, but the pacing and content improves dramatically after about 20-25 chapters. Each arc so far is enjoyable and ties reasonably well with the others. Character development (particularly for supporting cast) is excellent for the genre, and although it's clear the author is adding things as he goes along and forgets some people exist, all long-strip manwha do the same thing. This one's a cut above the rest and earns the rating, or close to it.

P.S. As a rare treat, the translators know proper English - that helps a lot.

The grim dark stuff gets dropped pretty quick. MC finds out he didn’t know everything and starts to doubt his purpose, then bam, tension resolved. Don’t get me wrong I’m glad they didn’t drag it out for 200+ chapters and it’s the exact right time and place but there should have been a bit more of a focus on it before that point.

After that point this is more about solving the demon issues than revenge and calling this series “Revenge of” then dropping the revenge after two arcs is a bit misleading.

Also the MC wears a dog collar like tie, and once I noticed it I couldn’t unsee it. No one else does, just him and I think that’s an amazing bit of visual character design. The art absolutely holds this whole thing together, the demons are a wondrous thing to behold, and the fight scenes are well paneled.

This does read better as a binge however and the moment to moment stuff is a bit lacking.
