So you marry off your daughter to a man you aparently never personally met, who even had very bad rumors about him , then put them on an island to be left alone for who knows how long they had planned, and now you're wondering that maybe, just maybe, the dude could have been violent? had they not actually fall in love she would probably be just a corpse, even without everyone going after them.
