I knew it. It was my suspicion that the author was storyboarding this as though it were any regular manga, where several pages can go by and it feels like it was all happening in a single moment. But since they release one page a day, the readers end up simmering on a single page way longer than usual. So it feels like it drags on. Interesting to see their own reactions to this realization.

It also probably doesn't help that there are fanbox extras which double the apparent page count.

I don't think they directly stated they've been storyboarding everything up to this point like a multi-page manga (although it could be implied). I got more of a sense that the whole thing has been a learning process and they've had to adapt to a single-page approach. This just happened to be a bit of a misstep.

Idk, there's something that just resonates with me when it comes to stories about music that represents the character. In a way, the fact that we're not actually listening to the music makes it easier to accept the verbal and visual description of said music.
