so... I've skimmed ahead this doujin up to the recent chapters
and I'm getting a bit of a complicated feeling here

so the main chapters tell a fairly serious storyline,
while the extra chapters, often time, are just comedic stories not related to the chapter (not always)

thus I've been thinking
do you think it would be better to separate the main story and these extras into different manga pages?
(at least those that are really detached from the main chapter)

or I could combine them both into one episode and note which page is from fanbox?

Well, they've already added many extra chapters to the manga page so I think it'll just be easier for the translators to keep all of them on one page, and if they JUST separate the chapters that are detached from the main story it'll be annoying because like you said some are comedic, some aren't. So they’ll have to nitpick through the extra chapters and post the ones that are related to the story on the main manga page and post the ones that aren't related, to the other manga page. It's just a lot of unnecessary and extra work. Anyway, I don't think it'll ruin the story if all of them are on one page.

because they ARE one-page series, so when skimmed it earlier,
it was like: one page "feel", one page "haha", back to "feel continuation", another "haha"

Yeah, I understand. I don't know why the author didn't just make the extra chapters that aren't related to the story AFTER the story ended. It breaking my immersion story-wise isn't a problem for me but I can see why it could do that for others. Now that I think about it more from your perspective, I can see its a complicated issue. I trust the judgment of the translators for what thet think is the best solution.

I'd run too if I saw AND heard something like that. Damn those spooky ghosts for ruining their tender, precious moment together. But maybe getting their hearts pounding would help like that "suspension bridge effect" trope I see on some romcoms.

Thanks again for doing the extras. I don't mean to pressure you or anything, but I'm wondering if there are plans to also translate the earlier extras? I think it would be great and add a lot to this manga, but of course only if you're willing and have the time to do so.

IMO it's better to just keep everything here on one entry page. Splitting the fanbox chapters into a page of its own doesn't really make much sense to me when a fairly significant portion of the "extras" are actually plot relevant and even feel like it should've been part of the main story chapters.

The author just decided to paywall these "extra" pages for some reason, perhaps because they need the money and refuse to fall into the usual fanbox porn trap. Also, I don't even want to see porn of this, I'd rather have it stay wholesome just to be different...

Splitting this off would make more sense if all the extras were non-canon and really only serve to make the plot confusing, but some of the extras actually add to the main story. Or if it were all pornographic extra content that isn't super plot relevant (as in the case of Classmate Covered in Bruises).

Just think of this as us getting the full Ri-chan reading experience similar to the JP readers who read on Twitter and then go on Fanbox for the extra pages they paid to see. Seeing the alternating serious and comedic pages is I suppose, intended by the artist for their paying readers.

I don't want to come across as promoting ripping off the artist or anything so if you like this story, consider supporting the artist!

Definitely should not separate them IMO, no other series does, that just sounds annoying, and often they are related.

The only reason they're more disjointed is they're going between 'pages' instead of completed chapters, but that just comes with the territory of how this is formatted.

yeah, I guess it doesn't really matter when we read it one chapter at a time
I think it is because I read it all at once, alternating main story and extras, so those unrelated extras at times became jarring
(which kind of reminds me of many recent superheros movies with jokes between serious moments)

I'm thinking of going for the first one for the sake of convenience, but I could do the second one for better reading experiences if people want it (or atleast, poorly attempt to do so). It's up to you guys honestly, i'm not good at making decisions

It's alright, you have your circumstances. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed, but I understand and thanks for being honest about this.

My vote goes to 1, just keep things as-is. It's a lot of possibly unnecessary extra work to sift through each extra and determine which ones to merge (not to mention it's gonna be arbitrary: there's no reliable indicator which ones to keep separate or not and someone will always have a differing opinion which goes where; there's really no pleasing everybody - it's a trap to think there's a way that would satisfy everyone). IMO the reading experience now is fine as it is.

If you go with 1, you also at least keep closer to the artist's original format of keeping all extra pages separate from main story pages. That kind of reading experience would be closest to how a paying JP reader would've gotten.
