I read all of the notes here and have to say:
It was nice seeing everyone come together to defend this fictional mother at the happy ending to a difficult situation.

To put together all that's weighing on her (my imaginings of her interpretations):
-some anger at husband
-I failed Ri-chan in the divorce.
-Riri is a daddy's girl and he left us.
-Ri-chan loves music but that's difficult and probably won't work out.
-The family of that nice Tatsumi boy is looking down on me.
-that nice Tatsumi boy who was supporting Ri-chan is gone now 😢
-Ri-chan is crushed by her failure, she dyed her hair and gave herself painful piercings. Then she wouldn't open up when i asked her what's wrong. (Is this all my fault?)
-Ri-chan is a freeter now. (At least she's bringing in money, but i doubt it will make her happy)
-Ri-chan smokes too now (her damn father managed to do one more harm)
-Ri-chan doesn't trust me emotionally, (all i can do is be here for her and work hard).
-Ri-chan is depressed but seems to have stabilized. (At least she didn't kill herself).

And then after that (i may need to return and edit:
-Tatsumi's mother gave us food, what brought that on?
-Ri-chan seems upset again. Why is that? I hope it doesn't get worse.
-Ri-chan doesn't look so dead in her eyes anymore. And she took out her extra ear piercings. This is progress, but why?
-Ri-chan is asking me permission to move in with Tatsumi? Oh, is he the cause of all this recent change?
-Ri-chan says he's still dependable and kind, so it's good to hear she's not punishing herself more.

And then this chapter: Am I finally freed?

---
I think that it's good that the details of the divorce are kept ambiguous to us because obviously Ri-chan wouldn't know them. But it's clear that whatever went down, the Father bears at least some of the blame. This means that even if Momma does bear some responsibility for the divorce, it still feels like something thrust on her, a trap to make her miserable.
This divorce trap, together with all of Riri's subsequent sorrows, feel like a great weight weighing down on this Momma. So when Ri-chan tells her that she is moving in with Tatsumi AND he's still good, that is such a massive relief. It truly is a freedom.

But i do think there may also have been some poetic ambiguity of her thinking of Ri-chan being freed.

Thanks again for this translation Fettyman.
And thank you to everyone for leaving your thoughts for me to read (even the few rude ones).
God bless you all. 🤗 🫡
